BOLLÉ BIKE HELMETS: PROTECTION AND PERFORMANCE FOR ALL CYCLING ACTIVITIES

Choosing a bike helmet is a crucial step for every cyclist, regardless of age. An essential companion for all your two-wheeled adventures, whether on the road or off-road, in the city or in the mountains. For athletes seeking excellence in terms of comfort, protection, and performance, Bollé offers a diverse range of bike helmets catering to cyclists of all levels, from road to mountain biking, and urban cycling.

How to choose your bike helmet?

The bike helmet is a basic piece of cycling equipment, providing essential head protection. To ensure it is as comfortable as possible, it is crucial to consider various factors such as size, comfort, and additional integrated features. Your cycling activity will also determine the choice of the model, whether it's a helmet for mountain biking, urban cycling, road cycling, gravel riding, or even a helmet for children : each designed to meet specific needs.

At Bollé, the range of bike helmets is divided into different categories to meet diverse requirements. The majority of models are equipped with the ultra-performing MIPS® protection system, located between the liner and EPS protective foam. This system allows the head to move in all directions by 10 to 15 millimeters relative to the helmet, reducing rotational movement transmitted to the brain during oblique impacts.

Among the available models, the eco-designed Stance and React helmet ranges, true condensates of advanced technology, have been developed with professional cyclists and high-level athletes. Lightweight and well-ventilated, they offer ultimate protection in all circumstances, adapting to both urban and outdoor environments. As for the Avio helmet range, their compact shape and abrupt finish at the rear have been developed to achieve unparalleled aerodynamics.

For off-road cycling enthusiasts, style merges with the safety of an ultra-resistant helmet in the Trackdown and Adapt ranges. The helmets combine style and protection, featuring an adjustable visor with a sturdy attachment for quick adaptability to changing terrain conditions. The integrated Coolmax interior, along with numerous vents, ensures effective temperature regulation even during demanding climbs. Additionally, they provide extensive coverage at the back of the head, ensuring maximum protection, especially during rapid descents or situations where the risk of impact at the back is higher.

For junior cyclists, Bollé offers the Stance range in a version tailored for younger riders, equipped with all necessary features, including the Click-to-Fit™ system for easy and precise adjustment, a reflective sticker, insect netting, and a safety LED. Everything is designed to make cycling for juniors safer and more comfortable.

Is it mandatory to wear a helmet while cycling?

In practice, helmet use is only mandatory for minors up to twelve years old. Beyond that age, it is not mandatory. However, it is strongly recommended for your safety in all your travels. In the event of an accident or fall, a bike helmet is specially designed to provide maximum head protection.

It's worth noting that wearing a helmet becomes mandatory for adults beyond a certain speed. This is the case for electric bikes, which can easily reach speeds of 45 km/h.

What is the lifespan of a bike helmet?

The lifespan of a bike helmet depends on several factors, but it is essential to monitor its condition and replace it as needed. The average lifespan of a bike helmet is generally between 3 and 5 years, but it can vary based on usage intensity and the impact it may endure.

To preserve the protective properties of your bike helmet for as long as possible, take good care of it and store it ideally in a dry place where it won't fall. It should be securely stored and, ideally, not exposed to moisture, UV (sunlight), and significant temperature variations.
